The Saint Louis native first started on stage at the tender age of 9 where he would play drums for jazz ensembles (including his own) all over St. Louis. The grammar scholar would find himself opening up for local established acts such as Denise Thymes and even comedic legend, DL Hughley. In an effort to to hone his craft, young Robinson traveled south, finding himself at Loyola University in "The Big Easy” New Orleans. Surrounded by music he found himsefl torn between his musical passions, drumming and singing.
Forced to make a decision between his two loves, he laid down his sticks for good and married the microphone. While recording and writing songs, destiny was more than kind. Robinson was blessed to have the opportunity to on the same stage with musical icons like the O’Jays and the Temptations along with a plethera of renowned musicians. Will Robinson has performed all over the U.S. in big and small venues alike. Never one to be staisfied Will has ventured into acting as he continues his songwriting while much anticipation builds for his new upcoming album. Scheduled for release in 2014, this long awaited work of art will be sure to please. True to his performer roots Will still graces the stage at Lola, in the heart of St. Louis. There, Will Robinson & The Soul Experience perform every Sunday at ”Soulful Sundays” a weekly fusion of soul, rhythm, and energy making Sould Sundays the standard for ”real soul” and live R&B in the MidWest.Watch out world, destiny is calling and Will Robinson has just answered.
